OUR ROOTS MET WITH EDUCATION HALF A CENTURY AGO

Okyanus's educational journey began in 1979 with Kültür Dershaneleri (Culture Tutoring Centers). From its very first day, it quickly became a trusted brand with its student-centered educational approach that kept pace with the demands of the times.

 This accumulated knowledge and experience was transferred to the field of institutional schooling with the opening of Avcılar Okyanus School in 2004. Okyanus Publications , established in the same year, formed the foundation of a strong educational ecosystem that draws its academic content from the field. Subsequently, the opening of Beylikdüzü Okyanus Kindergarten and Beylikdüzü Okyanus School accelerated the growth journey of Okyanus Schools.

 Okyanus Schools, which expanded throughout Istanbul with the opening of its Güneşli campus in 2007 and its Bahçeşehir campus in 2010, further strengthened its corporate network between 2012 and 2014 with the addition of campuses in Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Halkalı, Bahçelievler, and Fatih. During this period, subsidiaries such as Kida , Okyanus Real Estate , and Okyanus Agriculture were established to support its educational activities.

 Since 2014, Okyanus Schools has adopted a national growth strategy by expanding beyond Istanbul. With campuses opened in various cities across Türkiye, primarily Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir, and Bursa, the Okyanus brand has transformed into a strong educational network nationwide.

Growth continued steadily with the opening of campuses in Bayrampaşa, Diyarbakır and Karşıyaka Atakent after 2018; Antalya Lara in 2019; Ankara Keçiören in 2020; Başakşehir–Kayaşehir in 2021; Bursa Yenişehir in 2022; İzmit Atafen in 2023; İzmir Gaziemir in 2024 and Florya and Samsun in 2025.

Outside of education, an integrated structure was created with subsidiaries established in different sectors such as energy, publishing, e-commerce, technology, ready-made meals, and real estate.

Today, Okyanus continues its journey as one of Türkiye's most widespread and established education brands, with educational institutions ranging from preschool to high school, publishing activities, and supporting affiliates. With a vision of raising individuals who shape the future, it continues to grow by placing quality, sustainability, and innovation in education at its core.
